1. The Director QEC & Registrar MAJU visited the governor house to present the report of Pakistan Citizen Portal on February 9, 2022

The Director QEC, Dean FSBS & Manager QEC participated in Progress Review Meeting and Training of QECs organized by Higher Education Commission (HEC) on 31st January to 2nd February,2022 at IQRA University. The program focused on Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness and included various focused group activities for redefining the frame work for improved Quality at institutional level within the ambit of research and innovation. Around 20+ universities/institutions from public and private sectors were welcomed by Vice Chancellor IQRA University, Karachi followed by rigorous training under the able leadership of Mr. Nasir Shah, Managing Director-QAA of HEC.
3. The QEC department has made standardized forms of MS Thesis 1 & 2 on 7th February 2022. It will be shared with all research coordinators.
4. The QEC department has made MS-Thesis Handbook V2 on 4th February,2021
5. The Director QEC has sent the NOC of PhD. Economics to HEC on 15th January,2021
6. The QEC department has sent data to Higher Education Statistics(HES) Department of Statistical Information of Higher Education Commission on 20 January,2021
7. The QEC department has sent data to Karachi Chambers & Commerce Industries (KCCI) related to KCCI Education Sub Committee on 6th January,2021

1. National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) has Accredited Mohammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU) in X Category for the next 3 years on 29 Dec,2021
2. The QEC department has developed one page process flow chart of MS-Thesis Handbook on 17th December,2021
3. The QEC department along with database administrator has developed a software/portal for MS Thesis & Research on 10th December, 2021
4. The Director QEC conducted a meeting on 2nd December with QEC Representatives to know the progress and status of Google classroom and Course folders of Fall 2021
5. The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) of MAJU has started Faculty Development Training Program (FDTP). The QEC department has conducted the faculty orientation ceremony on 29th October,2021. The Director QEC, Registrar, Controller of Examinations, Manager QEC, Librarian and QEC Representatives of all departments were present. In this ceremony useful information was given regarding the basic function of the organization.

April – May 2021
1. The QEC department initiated the Faculty Development Training Program (FDTP) to enhance the quality of teaching & associate practices. In this regard, the training workshops are lined up in July 2021 by external guests.
2. The Director QEC presented the Self-IPE Report to Honorable President on 19th May 2021. The President ordered to generate a compliance plan against the observation raised on the report.

The Director QEC conducted a QEC meeting on 5th May with QEC Representatives to know the progress and status of the accreditation visit of NBEAC as expected on 31st May 2021.
4. The Director QEC and Registrar MAJU visited Governor House on 29th April to give feedback on the complaint done by students of MAJU. The performance of MAJU was satisfactory as per the presentation given during the meeting.  Representatives from all Government organization and Private Universities in Sindh were present in the meeting.

The Director QEC conducted a meeting on 22nd April to know the status of e folder on google classroom. All QEC representatives were present In the meeting.

1. The QEC has conducted IGNITE Meeting with FYP coordinators and Head of Department related to FYP funding on 28th January 2021 in Board Room, Block D.
2. The QEC has successfully conducted “IGNITE Day 2021” held on 27th January, 2021. Students from FOE has participated. In this training workshop, FYP coordinators and supervisor helped students in filing the FYP proposal on IGNITE portal.

7. MoU signing ceremony between Mohammad Ali Jinnah

Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) & OXFAM Pakistan for “Ending Violence Against Women and Girls (EVAWG) Through Edutainment” was held on 15th January 2021 in the Board Room, Block D. Oxfam is implementing this project in collaboration with the Australian High Commission, Islamabad. October 2020
1. Faculty Handbook: Mr. Ibrahim Shamsi and Ms. Hira hameed developed the handbook under the supervision of Director QEC.
2. Faculty and Student Handbooks for MS Thesis: Dr. Khitab Gul volunteered himself to develop “Faculty Handbook for MS Thesis” under the supervision of Director QEC. Ms. Zartashia and Ms. Farah Andleeb volunteered to develop “Student Handbook for MS Thesis” under the supervision of Director QEC.
3. Disciplinary Rules Book: The QEC team developed a comprehensive “Disciplinary Rules Book” for the students of MAJU. It will incorporate all the required SOPs and guidance on disciplinary issues generally faced by the students of MAJU.
September 2020

2. Director QEC and Registrar Mohammad Ali Jinnah University attended Prime Minister Citizen Portal Audit at Higher Education Commission Sindh Karachi on 28th December 2020.
3. The 3rd Meeting of the Quality Enhancement Cell Representatives was held on Tuesday 22nd December 2020 at 2:30 pm at Faculty Lounge Block 3.

November 2020
1. Mohammad Ali Jinnah University conducted Training Workshop on the topic “Conducting Online Classes and New Feature of Google Meet” held on 24th November 2020.
2. QEC Departmental Team attended Online Training Session On “Introduction of Self-Assessment Report (SAR) Standards” Held on November 18th, 2020.
3. The 2nd Meeting of the Quality Enhancement Cell Representatives was held on Tuesday, on 3rd November 2020 at 2:30 pm at Faculty Lounge Block 3.
October 2020
1. Faculty Handbook: Mr. Ibrahim Shamsi and Ms. Hira hameed developed the handbook under the supervision of Director QEC.
2. Faculty and Student Handbooks for MS Thesis: Dr. Khitab Gul volunteered himself to develop “Faculty Handbook for MS Thesis” under the supervision of Director QEC. Ms. Zartashia and Ms. Farah Andleeb volunteered to develop “Student Handbook for MS Thesis” under the supervision of Director QEC.
3. Disciplinary Rules Book: The QEC team developed a comprehensive “Disciplinary Rules Book” for the students of MAJU. It will incorporate all the required SOPs and guidance on disciplinary issues generally faced by the students of MAJU.
September 2020
1. The 1st Meeting of the Quality Enhancement Cell Representatives was held on Tuesday, 22nd September 2020 at 2:30 pm at Conference Room Block 1.
2. QEC Department has successfully adopted and implemented Outcome Based Education (OBE) interface on all programs in faculty of Engineering on 25th July 2020.
3. Starting from Spring 2020, QEC Department has successfully adopted and implemented the policy of maintaining E-Course file/folders in all faculties of Mohammad Ali Jinnah University.
4. Director QEC has participated in the webinar “ IEEE – ABET Webinar on Accreditation and Quality of Engineering Education in South Asia ”organized by IEEE India Council conducted on 08 July 2020.
