COURSE OBJECTIVES

The objective of this course is to explain basic concepts and principles of biopharmaceutics and pharmacokinetic parameters for oral and parenteral compartment models. The necessary mathematical expressions needed to estimate the serum and urine concentration of different drugs using compartmental analysis are calculated. Computational analysis of compartmental and non-compartmental model for oral and IV administration is also discussed under this course.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLO)

CLO: 1. To describe the principles pharmacokinetic parameters for oral and parenteral compartment models
CLO: 2. To illustrate mathematical approaches necessary for the estimation of serum and urine analysis.
CLO: 3. To apply knowledge of biopharmaceutics in different compartmental models and multiple dosing regimen.
