[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”COURSE OBJECTIVES” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]After completion of this course students will understand not only about the beginnings of organisms, but also about the beginnings of developmental biology as a science. In this course, students will learn about the field of developmental biology from its origins to the present day and organisms from their start at fertilization through the stages of their development and on to entire organism. 2. This course is designed to introduce students to these discoveries. In the lab, students will be exposed to modern techniques used to manipulate and examine developmental processes in several key model systems[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLO)” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]The successful student in this course will develop a working knowledge of fertilization, cellular differentiation, cloning, assisted reproduction technology, stem cell technology, gastrulating, organogenesis, limb formation, teratogenesis, comparative embryology, and the molecular basis of development.

In addition, the successful student will demonstrate proficiency in embryo dissection, developmental histology, morphology, and developmental gene expression assays.[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”COURSE CONTENTS” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1667451339627{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]
